BackStaff was designed by engineers Johnny Alvarado andLuis Golcher. Based at IPG in Mexico City, they have been implementing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) since 1997.
The Problem
The "Black Hole" of Communication
After decades on the factory floor, they saw how critical knowledge dilutes into messaging apps. When a deviation occurs, that knowledge cannot be accumulated or audited, creating a massive risk for regulated industries.
BackStaff was created to orchestrate human communication the moment a deviation occurs. We don’t use a web portal because life in a factory is demanding and time is limited. Personnel shouldn’t have to log into a website to find out what is happening.
The Vision
Orchestrating Human Response
Why an App?
Real-Time Action
By using a mobile app with push notifications, the right message reaches the right person at the right time. It is easier to act in the moment than to navigate a portal.
BackStaff involves personnel in real-time while providing a forensic way to audit responses for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and COFEPRIS. Every notification is enriched with context (photos, videos, and data), ensuring your team arrives with a solution, not a question.
